Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in physiotherapy, fitness, food and travel. Enjoy!

7 Must-Do’s in San Francisco

7 Must-Do’s in San Francisco

For Easter long weekend both this year and last year, my boyfriend and I have made the quick flight from Seattle to SF. This year we teamed up with our friends Corey and Sarah who were the raddest travel couple to spend a long weekend in SF with. Some of our favorite things to do in SF include:

1. Bike the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausolito

This one is a MUST must-do. Pick up a bike from any number of the bike rental locations in Fisherman’s Wharf and ride along the water, up over the bridge and down the hill into Sausolito. There are frequent ferries back to SF from here. Be sure to grab a coffee or a glass of wine in Sausolito to take in the view. Round trip this will take you roughly 3-4 hours and is about 10-15km depending on where you start. A tip: check groupon and living social for great deals on rentals!

2. Brunch in Haight Ashbury

Haight-Ashbury. The birth of the hippie movement and an awesome part of town to wander and eat! Check out Squat and Gobble Cafe, or Magnolia!

3. Golden Gate Park Bike to Ocean Beach

From the west end of Haight St, pick up a bike at the entrance of the Golden Gate Park and cruise the length of the park until you get to Ocean Beach. Stop here to take a badass panorama and even see some orcas breaching. Head across the street to Beach Chalet Brewery and Restaurant to replenish your fuel to bike back to the other end of the park.

4. See a Giants Baseball Game

Even if you aren’t a baseball fan, I am sure you will be a fan of being inside of AT&T Stadium. This place is RAD! If baseball isn’t your thing, pick up cheap tickets and bring your O2 mask up to the very top. Take in the view and wander around the stadium. The atmosphere is incredible and the views even better.

5. Dinner at Tony’ Pizza Napoletana in North Beach

BEST PIZZA EVER. Tony is the first American to win the world pizza margherita making contest. Enough said.

6. Have a martini in the Top of the Mark at sunset

Martini’s and a 360 degree view of an amazing city. The best combination. Even better – have a martini here before heading’s to Tony’s. The Top of the Mark is located on Nob Hill on – you guessed it – the TOP of the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental Hotel.

7. Dueling Pianos at Foley’s Irish Bar

This show was so good. We happened to go on Wednesday night (free cover) and were witness to some amazing 90’s rap (and some other unreal genres) done impeccably by two duelling pianists in the basement of Foley’s Irish Bar. This was an awesome experience. Man – these guys can play! Give them a tip with your song request on it and be prepared to me amazed. Our requested redention of Thrift Shop by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis may have been better than the original.
